So back to the issue. Like the Fame Monster, Lady Gaga has been furiously churning out song after song lately, and maybe getting fame after fame as well. I’m sure that some of you already know she just released “The Fame Monster” that’s an extension of “The Fame” which made her famous only last year. Apparently she has not let up in the Christmas season – we wonder is it because sales would be better for dance songs in America now?

Like today, I just found that before the Fame Monster euphoria has even cooled down, fans of LG are posting another song of hers. Seems it’s a leak, but well – good things are meant to be shared so I might as well.

And if you didn’t know, LG even sang a sort-of 80s kind of pop dance song called “Dance in the Dark”. The tune’s ok but as usual, nothing LG sings is ever “clean” or unsuspecting. But I guess that’s what many people (including me) like about her. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that I like her weird dresses or styles. It’s just that at least she’s a bit more honest about herself.

Fellow Malaysians, you should’ve brought your cameras, iphones, lappies along! Blog about it, post youtube vids, tweet it, take pictures. It would have gone viral! Why so little love for Arthur? I couldn’t say much if this was something not ‘big’ enough to garner attention, but even the STAR did something on Sep 25 itself. This was the BEP performing, hello?

Ok, rant aside. The BEP, as usual was greatly welcomed by the crowd at the Sunway Surf Beach in Kuala Lumpur. Here’s what the STAR (a newspaper company in Malaysia) had to say:

However, aside from a few bloggers who took the trouble to write and took vids, there were so few coverage about the event! Sedih lah (so sad).

Chris, a very good photographer I met before, had a lengthy photopost of BEP during the press conference.

In addition, Chris also recorded the BEP in Boom Boom Pow action.

Though I have to say, I still think the G.I. JOE version is better.

However one Youtuber actually took a very high quality vid of BEP singing I Gotta Feeling. Will.i.am even said KL KL KL a few times (KL is the shortform of Kuala Lumpur) – makes it more endearing lol. I must say thank you dear Youtuber, that was really excellent and more useful than you think. I love Fergie’s furry vest

As for me, one thing I regretted was not being able to be present myself. Well, I don’t know but I’d really go all way out to make this viral if I were there!

Aside from Kuala Lumpur, the Arthur’s Day celebration was also held in Dublin (Ireland), New York (US), Lagos (Nigeria) and Yaounde (Cameroon). The following clip shows everyone cheering to Arthur in Dublin, much like what happens in the Arthur’s Day ad (I don’t know if you’ve seen it, try search in youtube).

It was a bit sad, such a great event had so many people going but the coverage does not compensate as much! And BEP chose to go to KL of all 5 places! That was the greatest honour ever people.

Kris Allen, winner of American Idol season 8, has recently released a single named “Live Like We’re Dying”. It’s actually the same song by The Script. I heard both versions, and I gotta say, Kris did do a good job, but it sounded too similar to The Script’s version.

I read that Kris will release his very first album on November 17. Maybe he should really try his best since Adam Lambert (!) will release his very first album too, just one week later on November 24. Are we looking for another AI-style showdown again? :O

But then again, Kris looks so cute, like the pretty boy next door. I believe a lot of gals (and maybe guys too ) will buy his album, lol. So where does that leave Adam? C’mon we wanna hear a single from the 2012 soundtrack at least. Adam sang a track for the 2012 movie and that song is supposedly going to be included in the soundtrack album as well.

Drake’s new song Forever. I think you should watch the 1-minute commentary by James Montgomery of MTV below to get the hang of what the song is all about.

Personally, this felt like Eminem making a comeback of sorts. Not that I like his songs, but this is perhaps one of the songs with Eminem in it that I actually felt was interesting. All in all the song was good although I probably wouldn’t have it on my iTunes download list.

She’s landed in America for the first time, to sing there for the first time, tracks from her very first album, I Dreamed a Dream. Yes, the same name as the world-famous audition song.

She’s had a first-time very transformational makeover, so much that she look much much better now. I’d say she’ll look fantastic even if she’s really riding a wild horse. However the mainstream media strangely never took notice of her new looks. Here’s a very recent photo of Susan, from here.

Anyway, it’s Susan’s first time releasing her debut album (which will be released in November), and one of the songs which Times Online UK says she will sing is Wild Horses (original by Rolling Stones). Hear her soul in the music below, lyrics included:

Well Susan can’t really run free like a wild horse yet. She’s been taken to Disneyland for some Mickey Mouse fun after hordes of fans and media personnel “mobbed” her. Maybe a song of the same name from Natasha Bedingfield will do the trick for now:

Anyway, I don’t care so much. I like most of the songs from her album, so I guess I’m a fan of hers. I like her music and her very creative and innovative music – you don’t simply have people going crazy over country pop so easily, like until now. It appears that later on, Beyonce, whom Kanye tried to prop up in the mike-snatching incident, selflessly invited Taylor for a “do-over” (refer here). So all ends well that starts well, I guess? A very popular choir group, Libera is going to the Phillippines to sing. I can’t go to the Phillippines, but maybe those who are there might try. One catch, could you sing with them, like this?

Fantastic soprano? I daresay it is. I’m not a fan of the Gregorian/polyphonic chant kind of thing, but they’re really so good I can’t help but take notice.

The first line of Gloria:

Is no doubt reminiscent of the Gloria in the Mass of Roman Catholicism. Perhaps that is the reason why Libera decided to go to the most Catholic country in Asia. Having said that, the singing’s great. I really appreciate that Mariah did try to bring back the old charm which she exuded when she sang “Hero” and “When You Believe”. Marketing tactics are not a problem to me.

My verdict:
Black Eyed Peas should have included the latter in their THE E.N.D. album, at least. It’s way cooler than the original, no offense. Plus, kids WILL love it now that the remix just plainly screams GI JOE all over. Who knows one day we’ll see kids boasting that they’re so 3008 (the lyrics) while imagining themselves donning cool exoskeletons (the cool GI JOE suit)?

We all know one of the bad guys is Storm Shadow aka Thomas Arashikage. Young Thomas was acted by Brandon Soo Hoo, adult Storm by Lee Byung-Hun.

Storyline: Young Thomas trains under his father who is monk Arashikage. One day the future Snake Eyes sneaks into Arashikage’s temple to steal food. Thomas catches him red-handed.

I was happily watching the handsome young kid movie when young Thomas suddenly screamed:

도둑놈이다!!!!!!!

Yes, hear that right people. The young Japanese Thomas actually screamed in Korean!!!!!!!!

Which immediately delighted me. Hehe.

But wait, isn’t the scene in Tokyo? I mean, the heart of Japan? And Thomas’ last name is Arashikage, not Lee?

Shouldn’t the producer have sent Brandon or Lee for some Japanese lessons? No?

Weird. Very weird. And I’m very surprised no one noticed.
